Per il nono capitolo di “The Live Series” Bruce Springsteen ha pubblicato Songs Under Covers vol. 2 (disponibile anche sulle piattaforme di streaming come Amazon, Deezer, iTunes e Spotify), una bellissima raccolta di canzoni registrate tra il 1975 e il 2016 con o senza la E Street Band precedentemente incluse solo nei cosiddetti “bootleg ufficiali”, venduti separatamente e solo in download. Questa raccolta di cover include brani dei Kiss, The Eagles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Elvis, nonché classici di Bob Dylan (“Highway 61”), David Bowie (“Rebel Rebel”, suonata da Bruce nei giorni successivi alla morte del cantante), Lorde (“Royals”) e Clash (“Clampdown”). In scaletta alcuni duetti memorabili, come quello su “Stay” con Jackson Browne per No Nukes e su Highway 61 Revisited con Jackson Browne e Bonnie Raitt.
