In these quarantine days, the Pink Cadillac has decided to launch a competition that will keep us busy creatively and, at the same time, for a good cause. In fact, if this period of necessary isolation is hard for all of us, we must not forget those who experience this condition in an even more difficult and dramatic way: children and adolescents hospitalized with serious pathologies – oppressed by feelings of loneliness and bewilderment in their already dramatic daily lives – find themselves supporting a condition further aggravated by the restrictions of social distancing which also deprives them of their families and the warmth of a hug. That’s why Pink Cadillac has decided to allocate the proceeds from the participation fees directly to the voluntary organization OSCAR’S ANGELS Italy – which has been operating in our country since 2018 with two projects in particular in the “Bambino Gesù” pediatric hospitals in Rome and “San Gerardo” in Monza. OSCAR’S ANGELS Italia’s specialized volunteers give human and economic support, during hospitalization, to families with children or teenagers suffering from brain and spine tumors, degenerative neurological diseases or in palliative care.
Those who can draw or paint, or who cannot do it but only want to have fun with us and together with Bruce, can participate in the competition by dedicating some of their free time and try their hand at pencils or brushes, chalks or ink in a work that has as subject Bruce Springsteen.

At the moment we cannot foresee a real exhibition of the works that will be sent to us, but all the works will be published in a virtual gallery on the site, waiting to reopen the doors of the PIT and really set up the halls for our activities. When this bad period is over, the winning works will be welcomed in the collection and permanently exhibited at the PIT, the first space in Europe dedicated to Bruce Springsteen.
REGULATION:
1 – THEME: The competition has BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN as its theme and includes three sections:
Painting and watercolor
Drawing
Graphics
2 – PARTICIPATION: Italians and foreigners who will request it, by and no later than May 15, 2020, can participate, attaching a photo in good resolution of their work, made with one of the techniques in point 1, in max A3 format.
How to register for the competition: The participation fee is 10 euro and the proceeds will be allocated to the voluntary association OSCAR’S ANGELS Italia, aimed at human and economic support for families with children or teenagers hospitalized and suffering from brain tumors and spine, degenerative neurological diseases or in palliative care. You can make the payment by clicking directly HERE (select “other amount”, indicate the participation fee for the competition and in the reason for payment write “HUNGRY ART” + name of the participant in the competition if different from that of the person who made the payment). Then send an email to staff@pinkcadillacmusic.it, taking care to report:
a. in the subject: “Hungry Art Competition”
b. in the body of the email: name, surname, address of residence, size of the t-shirt, telephone number + short biographical notes (max 300 characters, spaces included) provided by the artist
c. attached: a picture of the work made in good resolution + the receipt of the payment made to the OSCAR’S ANGELS Italia association.
3 – SELECTION: an international jury will view the photographs of the works created. The names of the winners will be published on May 22, 2020 (one for each section).
4 – CONDITIONS: The material for the competition must be sent by May 15, photographed already signed by the author. The images will be archived with the “Pink Cadillac” watermark in the specific section on the pinkcadillacmusic.it website. N.B: Pink Cadillac declines all responsibility for falsification or illegitimate attribution of authorship of the works.
5 – PUBLICATION: A catalog will be published on the pinkcadillacmusic.it website with all the works received, accompanied by the short biographical notes provided by the artist. The 12 best works will subsequently be published in paper format for the Pink Cadillac 2020/21 calendar with the names of the authors. The artists grant the organization the rights to use the works for the purpose of creating the virtual catalog of the exhibition on the pinkcadillacmusic.it website; the publication of the works on the social channels of the association and the fanclub; of the printed publication of the 2020/21 calendar
6 – AWARD CEREMONY: The award ceremony will take place on May 22, 2020 on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of the foundation of the Pink Cadillac Bruce Springsteen Fan Club. The prizes will be sent soon afeterwards.
7- PRIVACY: in compliance with law n ° 675/96 we inform you that the data of the participants will be used exclusively for the purposes of the competition.
8 – ACCEPTANCE: Sending the email to staff@pinkcadillacmusic.it at the time of registration has the value of complete acceptance of these regulations
